Wolfburn Vibrant Stills: Special Edition for Germany

First 4 Year Old Wolfburn released

Germany is a very important market for Wolfburn and new releases always get in sight here very soon. This is not at last due to the great commitment of Wolfburn’s German distributor Alba Import. With the latest release Alba Import has arranged a special highlight for the whisky fans: exclusively for the German market the Wolfburn Vibrant stills has been released. The sale already started and those who want to get their hands on one of the bottles should hurry up.

Three casks were chosen out of the constantly growing warehouse stock of Wolfburn, situated in Thurso. This happened in cooperation with Alba Import on the occasion of the German company’s 10th anniversary. The ex-Bourbon casks no. 446,447 and 449 had been filled in July 2013. The whisky was matured until July 2017 so that this Wolfburn Vibrant Stills is the first 4 year old single malt whisky ever released by the distillery. It was bottled uncolored and without chill-filtration with an alcoholic strength of 50 % ABV. The limited release consists of 1.440 bottles in total.

Official tasting notes for the Wolfburn Vibrant Stills:

Nose: voluminous white chocolate at once, banana and vanilla.
Palate: powerful and intensive with clover honey, citrus crème, bourbon vanilla and spices as ginger, a little allspice and cloves.
Finish: long lasting and mouth filling with white chocolate again.

Two unlimited and regular Wolfburn releases 

The limited edition Wolfburn Vibrant Stills supplements the two regular and constantly available whiskies of Wolfburn’s small standard range.

Wolfburn Northland is the successor of the First General Release and is characterized by the aromas it achieved during the maturation in ex-Islay quarter casks.

Wolfburn Aurora is batched from 80 % ex-Bourbon and 20 % ex-Sherry casks.
