The independent Scottish bottler stands for high-quality blends

The young blending house Turntable is celebrating its first anniversary. The two new bottlings released to mark the occasion entirely keep to the musical imagery that Turntable cultivates and which is also reflected in the names of the whiskies: Turntable Track 4: One Way or Another and Track 5: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger are titled after two songs by Blondie and Daft Punk.

Both new bottlings are already available here at Whisky.de.

Turntable, founded by Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson, has dedicated itself to cultivating the image of blended whisky and combines high-quality grain and malt whisky for its bottlings. The origin and the proportion of the various blended whiskies are published transparently.

Turntable Track 4: One Way or Another

Track 4 was born out of our fascination with old grain whisky casks and the commitment to pushing the boundaries of blended whisky as Alasdair said. A harmonious blend of 78 per cent grain and 22 per cent malt whisky, balancing salted caramel, citrus and warm banana notes from casks such as Strathclyde First Fill Bourbon Barrels and Invergordon Red Wine Barrels.

Cask types: Strathclyde First Fill Bourbon Barrels (30%), Invergordon Red Wine Barrels (21%), Cameronbridge Marsala Barrels (15%), Cameronbridge Madeira Barrels (12%), Linkwood First Fill Bourbon Barrels (22%)

Alcohol content: 46% vol, not coloured, not chill-filtered

Bottles filled: approx. 2000

Turntable Track 5: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

With Track 5, Turntable wanted to produce a very powerful yet balanced whisky. Both new bottlings are the culmination of their blending expertise and passion for quality, as  Gordon explained. The powerful, undiluted experience utilises components such as Tamdhu First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts and Dalmunach First Fill Bourbon Barrels - for indulgent notes of chocolate almond tart with juicy peaches and vanilla cream.

Cask types: Tamdhu First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt (26%), Dalmunach First Fill Bourbon Barrels (21%), Mannochmore First Fill Bourbon Barrels (18%), Girvan First Fill Bourbon Barrels (22%), Girvan Marsala Barrels (13%)

Alcohol content: 59.1% vol. cask strength, not coloured, not chill-filtered

Bottles filled: approx. 2000
