In December a bottle of Kilchoman 10 Years will be auctioned for charity

A very special release has been announced on the Kilchoman website: Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first cask that had been filled at Kilchoman Distillery on Islay on December 14th 2005 there will be an auction of a 10 year old Kilchoman. It will only be one single bottle for this anniversary release - can an edition be more limited than this?

This bottle of Kilchoman 10 Year Old is one of a kind

The bottle will be handfilled by the founder of Kilchoman, Anthony Wills, on December 14th 2015. Only the whisky for this one bottle will be taken out of the cask, that will be stored further on as before. Another 10 year old release is not planned for the moment because the stock of older Kilchoman casks is very limited. The distillery will handle it as they did up to now and batch younger casks together with older ones for their Kilchoman releases.

Everyone can join the auction

If you want to bid on the bottle 01/01 you must visit the Kilchoman website between the 7th of December, 12 noon GTM and the 14th of December, 12 noon GTM. The auction is open to everybody all around the world - provided that you are old enough to buy whisky. Everyone can bid as often as he wants to, but all is done exclusively online on this internet platform. Proceeds of this auction are assigned for The Beatson Cancer Charity. The reason for this choice a recent illness of Distillery Manager John MacLellan. To honor and sponsor the work of this organization is - in addition to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the first Kilchoman cask- a reason for this special bottling.
