All tasting notes
Taste: caramelised
Finish: moderately lasting, & faint musty skins.
Comment: You can definitely recognize that Glenfiddich distillery character. Ripening pears and fresh Red delicious apples, which later might be smothered in a splash of caramel. All enrobed in a sweet malty and vanilla cloak. The spices sneak in shadows and it goes down with no trouble at 43%abv. After initial taste, just 4-5 drops of water separate the juicy from spicy without dampening either's strength. The age statement of 14 and a bit more for finishing is a decent value here in Canada at $70 C. Have only tasted one fifth the bottle so far as my first time trying: Will add further notes upon its downing.
