Stunning..... you inhale rather than drink this, after 15 seconds, it has all evaporated, leaving chocolate tones with a coffee aftertaste. Cask strength, nose is sherry, marzipan, almond, vanilla, a hint of grass and green apples and more sherry. Taste is full and rich, sherry and chocolate, milk and dark, then vanilla, almond, coffee, honey and a hint of spices, a full on taste experience. Finish is chocolate, black coffee and spices with a lingering sherry note, long and rich..... Not a cheap bottle, but one definitely worth tasting. A few drops of water open it out and expand the tastes, reducing the alcohol a little but revealing even more complexity and enhancing the finish. A beautiful 20 year old Pedro Ximinez aged dram, worth every penny of the price tag.
