Nosing: Früchte Apfel Süße Karamell Vanille
Sweet and fruity. Baked apples, toffee and vanilla. A pretty good nose overall, not overly intense, but It has character.

Taste: Früchte Süße Gewürze
Initially very sweet. Fruit comes through and then falls back. There's a somewhat artificial sweetness that follows, a bit like aspartame, very odd. Spiciness comes forward at the end.

Finish: Gewürze Eiche
Some spicy oak, relatively short.

Comment:
I picked this up on offer at the local supermarket. I was hoping for good things as I really enjoyed the 15 year old from Dalwhinnie. This one however feels more like a marketing excercise than a well thought out single malt. The nose is good, nothing to complain about there, but in the mouth it's cloyingly sweet, and then develops this weird artificial sweetener type bitter note, not a fan of that at all. The finish is pretty unremarkable. Short and fairly basic. I managed to pick this up at a significant discount from rrp, and I'm certainly glad I did. This isn't deserving of its original £40 price tag. Not one I'll be revisiting in the future probably.
