Caisteal Chamuis
Caisteal Chamuis is a Blended Malt, which was named after the medieval ruins of Castle Camus on the island of Skye. The once strategic stronghold was helping the Macleod Clan to keep their hold on the region. The Whisky is a combination of Single Malt from the island Islay, Orkney and Skye. During the maturation it is refilled into different casks multiple times: first first-fill and refilled American Hogsheads, then it is partly refilled into fresh white oak casks, fresh European Olorosos Sherry casks and refill Hogsheads. The following finish happens in small Bourbon casks with 200 litres.
