Nosing:
The nose is intense with raisin and sherry. It has a caramel type sweetness and notes of orange peel and lime zest
Taste:
Very intense. Sweet caramel arrival with sherry and chocolate orange. Some subtle ginger spiciness.
Finish:
Lingering, orange and spice. Light and unintrusive oak. There's a distinct raisin aftertaste that lasts for a long time after.
Comment:
This series is quickly becoming one of my favourites. Compared to batch 53 this seems much more intense in flavour and caramel-sweet while still having the distinctive orange flavours. It will take quite a hit of water without problem.
Its just about as sweet as I've ever tasted in a scotch, I would almost have it for dessert!
