Stats: single malt whisky, 21 yo, Oloroso sherry casks + Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, 48,0% Vol, 0,7l

Color: black sage honey meets mahogany

Nose: Total sherry domination, a bit of pine tree and oak, no smoke. Aged in a mix of sherry casks, feels like you're actually entering a forest where those rooks reside. Fantastic smell, a touch of smoke too and rich feel of nutmeg, clovers and cocoa. If you decide to stay long enough, there's a strong feeling of vanilla overcoming your senses. If you ever used Madagascar vanilla essence, this is it. I could get high on this. :')

Mouth: Cocoa and coffee with a touch of pepper, maybe like dark chili chocolate. Nicely bitter, allspice and nutmeg, spicy. Really strong and intense, passionate and wild, like a Christmas affair.

Finish: abrupt but short explosion of nutmeg/allspice and sherry, rather peppery end with subtle smoke. A bit dry and a bitter tannin finish, notes of liquorice and wood. A bit of bitterness remains, as in life.

Overall: Got it from fine-whisky.de for around $130. After adding a few drops of water, the scent becomes more complex, and the fresh-paint feel is replaced with subtle smoky company. And I had to take a bit of real chocolate afterwards, since the feel reminded me so much of it, and my palate wanted to feel complex aromas again. However, I do feel it's a kind of a love-or-hate whisky, maybe it'll be a bit over-oaked and menthol-like for some. It's complex, but it may be too complex, too over-oaked. Even though its name is far from politics, it could be connected, since it seems that it does divide people.

A posh brother of 15yo, who didn't stay pre-med all his life. A type of whisky you hide when your friends come over.
