Lagavulin 16 Years
The classic Lagavulin is kilned with a high smoke content in the malt. The stills are pear-shaped, so that all flavors can be passed on to the condensers during distillation. The Single Malt then matures in Bourbon and Sherry casks to completion.

Nosing: Thick and robust and smoky. Peaty and seaweed. A little brine and saltiness.
Taste: Smoky and smooth with a strong start. Slight sweetness to counter the peaty smoke. A touch of medicine but compliments well. Complex and dark.
Finish: Long and smoky with a little of the brine coming out.
