All tasting notes
Some sweet fruitiness, pear and light citrus. Sherry cask influence, but not overly in your face. Some light spiciness. Feels washed out, has this weird musty smell like plaster dust. It lacks the intensity I would normally expect from a sherry cask whisky.
Taste:
Medium sweet arrival, some spiciness a little fruitiness that leans towards orange. Well balanced sweetness throughout. Has a sort of almost metallic tang towards the finish
Finish:
Short and more of a continuation of the palate flavours with more maltiness emerging.
Comment:
I got this as part of a tasting set, and in all honesty I'm glad I tried it that way. If I had to sum it up in one word it would be "meh". It seems somewhat subdued throughout and there's no real stand out character to it. It feels like it has been made to be as inoffensive as possible to the biggest audience. That isn't to say its terrible, it isn't, but for the asking price it really needs to be bringing more to the table than this.
