This is the Aberlour 16 years double cask. Its is the older version of the 12 year old. This adds more flavours and aromas to the whisky. Also it is a bit smoother than the younger edition.

Like the Aberlour 12 years old this malt was matured in ex-bourbon casks and sherry casks. But due to the longer time of maturation this scotch is maturer and smoother.

This Aberlour seen here in a leather gift case was first matured in standard oak casks and got its finish in sherry casks. This results in the typical Aberlour fruity sweetness.

This is the older 16 year old edition of the Aberlour double cask. It comes in a good looking leather case. An ideal present for a good friend.
