This Aberlour Scotch was stored 100% in sherry casks. Its taste becomes even milder and smoother. The finish is a mixture of berries and different spices. It is a lot intenser than the standard 10 year old.

This is the special bottling of the the 200 years of Aberlour village.

Truly intensive on the nose with walnut oil, ginger cake, maple. Heady with water.
The palate is very big; dark treacle toffee, very much sherry and a whiff of lit matches.

You only get very few independent bottlings from the Aberlour distillery. This Scotch was distilled in 1996 and bottled at 46% ABV by the independent bottler Douglas Laing.
It is non chill filtered and not coloured.
