How did you discover Whisky?

I'm doing some research into whisky drinkers for a university project and was hoping some of you would be able to help answer some questions?

1. How did you get in to whisky?
   
   
2. How would you describe your journey with whisky? (e.g. is it constant discovery or do you get complacent/stuck in your comfort zone?)
   
   
3. What references/influences do you look to discover new whiskies?
