Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 47
The word a'bunadh is pronounced "A-Boon-Ach" and means a much as "the Origin" It is one of the great natural bottlings of the Aberfeldy distillery. The casks were hand selected by the master distiller Douglas Cruickshank to mature his fine spirit in. The a'bunadh is a mixture of different vintages of whisky. After the long maturation and the bottling in the small 0,5 l bottles the Aberlour is sealed with a wax cap. A true Scotch.

If you taste this BEAUTY, you will never forget it!!!
So far, this is the best Whisky I've ever had. Absolutely no. 1!
Totally Old-School! This is a re-created Whisky from a hundred years ago. If you avoid Whiskies without an age statement, the Aberlour A'bunadh should be an Exception. It's perfect, excellent, wonderful...
Now, the batch 47
Nose: Tonka beans (Dipteryx Odorata), cloves, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, wine, leather 25/25
Palate: A bomb! Sweet, vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon, Sherry, smoked leather, ashes from the bonfires, prunes, grapes 25/25
Finish: Long. Vanilla, caramel, prunes. 24/25
Balance: just the best! 25/25
The best idea for long, winter evenings. My number two and three are: Ardbeg Ten and Bunnahabhain 12yo. Both from Islay. But this Miracle comes from the Speyside.... and it's the best.
Single Cask. Cask Strength (60,7%). Non chill-filtered. Natural, beautiful color!!! Nothing more to add!
Absolutely 99/100

Absolut 99/100
