Quite an intense,spicy whisky this,as Horst and son said in review.Good for 40% and a bargain at only £28 from Amazon!!
@Ian_Crombie Agree. I went out and bought a bottle for $55USD after Horst‘s tasting. Really quite good!
@Ian_Crombie
I stay away from Jura because after tasting their previous range I didn't find any of their whiskies that was to my liking. Maybe their new range is better but I stay away.
@bedlamborn Not my favourite distillery,but 10 new version is plesant enough,and for £28 quite good value.I do just find 40%abv whiskies rather watery,bland,lacking in flavour..give me 43% or 46% anytime...just far more flavours!!!
@Ian_Crombie
I also think that most 40 should go up to 43%. However I find that AnCnoc 12 yo at 40% is quite nice.
have you tasted their smokier versions of Jura? I find them better than the nom smokey but also lacking some character.
@bedlamborn I havent!Trying a Highland Park 12,which is only 40%,but because of the varied flavours,heathery,honey,slight peat..it is rather good.Only £25..even Ralfy gave it 88 in an early review!!!Dont know if Jura Superstition or Prophecy are any good???
